At Kotara Montessori the Extended Day Program is the final year of the three year program, operating in conjunction with the NSW Department of Education curriculum. It is a specialised program combining both the NSW Kindergarten syllabus and the Montessori program to enhance all outcomes in the key learning areas: Language, Mathematics, HSIE, PDHPE and Science & Technology.

In this final year at Kotara Montessori, the imagination is beginning to form from the child’s past experiences, they are emerging into abstract learning, and they use creative thinking and problem solving instinctively. The child is able to consolidate the knowledge gained from their previous years in a Montessori environment.

The Extended Day Program has a maximum of 10 children, and operates parallel to the NSW Department of Education school year. Following the completion of the Extended Day Program, children can transition to Kindergarten or Year 1.

Children who have completed a minimum of two years in the Montessori Preschool environment are welcome to apply.
